Taylor Swift has a pretty impressive collection of awards already and she is soon to add another one o the list! According to new reports, the artist is set to receive the Inaugural Icon Award at Teen Choice 2019!

What makes it very special, however, is that it’s the first-ever such award!

Earlier today, it was announced via Fox that ‘As one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with more than 50 million albums sold, Taylor Swift is a pop culture icon whose accolades and achievements go beyond topping music charts and selling out stadiums worldwide. Swift is also one of today’s biggest social influencers, using her voice and platform to inspire and create positive change.’

It makes sense that Swift will be the first one to be honored with this particular award.

After all, she does hold the record for the most Teen Choice awards by a solo artist.

As some fans may know, Taylor has won no less than 25 awards and was also nominated over 60 times!

This year, she is nominated in three categories, including Choice Female Artist as well as Choice Pop Song for her track titled ME!

Aside from the debut of this brand new award, there are going to be other firsts on the show as well!

More precisely, Teen Choice 2019 will be airing live from Hermosa Beach, California, something that has never been done in the show’s history before this year!
