Jake Mitchell is the 17-year old who is slaying the YouTube game. Since joining the platform in late 2013, Jake has become one of the site’s most exciting creators. With over 1.7 million subscribers, his viewers, also known as Troopas, have been lapping up his pranks, skits, challenges and collabs.

In January, Jake will be taking his channel content on the road by putting on a live and interactive show. Touring across five cities, he will be joined by friend and fellow YouTuber Lee Hinchcliffe in addition to some special guests.

In addition to being a YouTube sensation, Jake has shared many of this other talents with the world this year. Back in February, he showcased his musical side by dropping a track called ‘Echoes’. He also worked on a number of projects with the likes of the Disney Channel, CBBC, and 20th Century Fox, and attended various events including HelloWorld.

We recently had the opportunity to ask Jake Mitchell about his forthcoming tour, Christmas and his plans for 2018. Read on to find out how you can win a pair of tickets to his tour too!

You’re kicking off the New Year by going on tour. How are you feeling ahead of it?

I’m feeling very excited for the tour because I’ve come up with so many fun and unique ideas. It’s been awesome seeing them all come to life. Going out on the road also gives me the opportunity engage with my fans and I can’t wait to see everyone!

For anyone who’s yet to buy their tickets, why should they come to see the show?

They should come to see the show to be able to interact with me, Lee and my friends and family. It will also give them the chance to come to have pizza with me, Lee and other guests. There’s going to be so much crazy stuff happening, you might even see myself or Lee getting gunged!

Is there a particular city you’re most looking forward to visiting?

I’m looking forward to visiting ALL the cities! My schedule is pretty busy but I’m hoping to see a few sights in each city so if anyone has any recommendations of what I should see let me know.

You’ll be joined by Lee Hinchcliffe, so there’s bound to be plenty of hilarious antics and prank wars. How do you plan on making sure you win?

Christmas is fast approaching and in the run up to it, you’ve been taking part in Vlogmas. Which has been your favourite video to film?

The hot chocolate bath because I had a group of my friends helping me doing the challenge which was so fun – although cleaning the mess after wasn’t fun ahaha! It’s nice doing challenges with my friends as everyone throws their ideas in which can make it more crazy and exciting!

What are you hoping for this Christmas?

A whole lot of FOOD AHAHAH.

Do you have any special Christmas traditions, and how will you be spending the day?

Every year a lot of my family members join me at my house for dinner and we always play fun games whilst filming for the troops!!!

2017 has been a huge year for you. What has been your personal highlight?

Even though I had a mini break ,I feel that this year has been successful, as I’ve designed and created a tour. I’ve also been working with some pretty cool companies including 20th Century Fox, CBBC and HASBRO which has created amazing opportunities.

In addition to slaying the YouTube game, you also released your debut single ‘Echoes’ this year. Can we expect more new music from you in 2018?

YES, I have been working on a new song which should be released in time for the tour. It features a special guest – all will be revealed soon!

Roman Attwood, Jake Paul, Logan Paul, Tanner Fox, and Tanner Braungardt.

Apart from the tour, what do you have planned for 2018?

New music, new travels and to collaborate with other YouTubers.
